Newby is proud to donate 1 million tea bags
Newby Teas and the N.Sethia Foundation are proud to have donated 1 million teabags to hospitals treating coronavirus patients around the world.
To date, Newby has donated tea bags to the NHS Nightingale Hospital in London, hospitals in New York via Founders Give Charity as well as hospitals in the UAE and Middle East, Russia, Switzerland and Singapore.
Newby Teas Chairman, philanthropist Nirmal Sethia commented:
“I believe gratitude is the first step to God. We need to be grateful to all those putting their lives at risk to save others. For thousands of years of history, fine tea was considered a drink which, apart from its medicinal benefits, provided a moment of calm and meditation. We hope that our teas will bring some comfort to those in need during these testing times and would like to thank the medics and all supporting staff around the world for their selfless work.”
Newby Teas is substantially owned by the N.Sethia Foundation, a British registered charity. The Foundation supports various important projects in medical research and development, autism, education and nourishment of underprivileged children, disaster relief, preservation of culture and art in the UK and worldwide.
