Our English Breakfast tea has been named number one by a panel of celebrity foodie experts on Channel 4's Tried and Tasted: The Ultimate Shopping List. The show shines a spotlight on a variety of popular British brands from food and drink giants to independent producers and luxury or small-batch purveyors. Our English Breakfast Silken Pyramids were included in a blind taste test of four teas, including Yorkshire Tea and PG Tips, and were voted the best blend by the judges. Our Founder and Chairman Mr Sethia said:

Tried and Tasted judge and Michelin chef Michel Roux Jr said of our breakfast blend, 'As a black tea, I like it because it's light.' and tea expert Patrick Quilliam said, 'It's got quite a lot of astringency, that's what you want in a breakfast tea.' He also explained that the PG Tips English Breakfast was 'cloudy' suggesting the tea bag contained lots of dust, compared to high quality teas, which are crystal clear.
